With regard to your note (I couldn’t reply to it as a note, I don’t know why) I’m afraid I don’t have much advice to give about gaining email subscribers. I have a small but responsive email list but it isn’t a thing I focus on as most of my work is with private business clients. I know the ‘marketing gurus’ tell us we must have email lists, but honestly, I just write and sell to good, well-paying markets and I don’t worry about it.
That said, if you want to build an email list, the core strategy is almost certainly to write and publish first class content and link your list subscription to it. It’s as simple as that. It takes work, and patience, and time.
